My Story

ARTIST. CREATOR. DREAMER. OPTIMIST. MOTIVATOR. BELIEVER.

Lauren Weiss, watercolor artist

Hi I’m Lauren!

I’m all about spreading joy and encouragement, one painting at a time. I’m also a coffee-drinking, plant-obsessed, former computer nerd…

I love creating something from nothing. My passions are watercolor, acrylic painting, resin art, and I enjoy designing and making jewelry. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always made gifts for family and friends because to me, a handmade gift carries more meaning than anything store bought.

I hope to inspire others to express their creative side and make something beautiful, with only  paper and paint. Everyone is an artist at heart, I truly believe that. What’s not to love about scenic ocean sunsets, beautiful flowers, birds and other animals. Art is everywhere, just like beauty is everywhere. Art is merely an expression of God’s beauty here on earth.

Born and raised on the sunny (and often foggy) coast of California, I’ve always loved the sea, the sound of the waves, the warmth of the sand under my feet, the sunrises and sunsets. I enjoy creating ocean themed acrylic and watercolor paintings, resin paintings, and designing jewelry.

My grandmother, Mary Cole, was a professional artist in Cambria, California, and often dragged me along to her painting workshops. She always put paper, paint and a brush in front me to keep me busy, while she herself was painting her next masterpiece.

After she passed in 2003, she left me (and other family members) several of her paintings. I decided to professionally photograph them and make prints available to order.

I hope you enjoy my artwork (and my Grandmother’s), and I’m excited to have you join me as I embark on this new chapter in my life.

Please check out my Etsy Shop!

I have many pieces listed there that
are NOT here on my website.

Thank you!
